10 Ways Successful People Spend Their Time Instead Of Wasting It

Blueroomcare•January 2, 2023•4 min read

Successful people tend to have a structured and intentional approach to how they spend their time. Successful people come in all shapes and sizes, and there is no one-size-fits-all definition of success. However, there are certain traits and characteristics that many successful people tend to have in common.

  1. Learning and growing: Successful people tend to be lifelong learners and are always seeking out opportunities to learn and grow. They may set aside time for reading, learning new skills, or attending conferences and workshops in order to stay up-to-date in their field.
  2. Usefulness: Successful people ask themselves what i are doing with their time, is it useful to their goal? useful could be sleeping, taking a break, or self-care. Usefulness means you find the use in anything and everything are you are able to see everything that happens in your life as useful
  3. Study vs Envy: When you see people achieve incredible things that you value or motivate you, instead of jealousy, comparison, or envy the solution is to study them. Study their life, their journey because the problem is we look at people at the stage they are right now rather than the phase they started it
  4. Education Vs Entertainment:  substitute a negative routine for a more positive one.88% of wealthy people read 30 minutes or more every day, and 63% of wealthy people listen to audiobooks instead of music. If you are not using social media as a creator or consumer of positive information, unfollow, block move on
  5. Intelligence vs Emotions:  Successful people only work on the truth and the facts. Research says that 94% of wealthy people filter their emotions, and 79% of those struggling do not filter their emotions. The first filter with your emotions is what you heard is true. the second filter is Is this information useful? The third filter is this emotion actionable. Anything that is false news isn’t worth acting upon
  6. Growth over goal: Smart people set goals, and successful people set growth toward their goals. Successful people don’t point to the map, they come up with a journey to follow on the map. Set a goal and a growth plan, the growth plan includes skills you need to learn, coaching you need etc
  7. They understand the value of therapy and coaching: whether you are a student, a musician,a  leader, or an entrepreneur we all have trauma we need to unpack. Therapy helps people make sense of their past and coaching helps people work towards their future and together this is an incredible combination.
  8. Prioritizing tasks: Successful people are often able to prioritize their tasks and focus on the most important ones first. They understand the value of working on high-impact tasks that will bring them closer to their goals.
  9. Managing their energy: Successful people tend to be mindful of their energy levels and are careful to avoid overloading themselves with too much work. They understand the importance of taking breaks and taking care of themselves in order to stay productive and focused.
  10. Balancing work and life: Successful people often have a good balance between their work and personal life. They are able to set boundaries and make time for the things that are most important to them, whether that’s spending time with loved ones, pursuing hobbies and interests, or taking care of their physical and mental health.

By adopting these habits, successful people are able to make the most of their time and stay focused on achieving their goals.
