Are you sad? Do you know someone who is very sad right now? You can find tips here…
Losses hurt.
No matter what kind of loss. It always hurts. However you deal with your grief, the important thing is to let it happen. With grief, something different is good for everyone. You have to find out what suits you best.
TIP:
Some help for you:
- It is important that you allow your feelings and let them out. If you simply push your grief away, it will only build up even more. So if you feel like crying, then do so. It’s completely normal and okay. And it doesn’t matter if you are male or female.
- It’s also okay to be mad or angry at someone you’ve lost! All feelings are okay!!!
- Talking about your grief is also totally important. Just get everything off your chest. It brings relief. Think about whom might be a good person to do this. Maybe there is an aunt, uncle, grandparent, friend, etc. that you can talk to. Etc. whom you trust.
- If you like writing, you can simply write down what concerns you. For example, write a letter that you do not send.
- If you want to say goodbye to someone, you can say everything you want to say to the person on a cassette or write it down. You can then throw the letter or tape away somewhere or destroy it. Or invent some kind of goodbye ritual that suits you and the person you want to say goodbye to.
Help for sad friends
The best way to help someone who is sad is to simply be there for them. In other words, listen to them and give them a hug. The greatest help in such a situation is when someone is there to go through this difficult time with you.
Often you have the feeling that you have to say something. Something clever that will comfort the other person. But often there are no such words. And it is enough that you are there.
